Our very own Jess Butcher was lucky enough to attend the AR Summit Awards as Blippar won “best browser” at the Augmented Reality Awards held in London last night.

The AR Summit awards are indeed the first UK awards for the augmented reality industry, they are designed to recognise and reward companies successfully developing new technologies, creative strategies and industry-leading innovations.

What turned out to be a great night was topped off as Blippar beat competition in the “best augmented reality browser” category from six other companies from around the world, including Layar and Aurasma.

Jess Butcher said: “We’re thrilled with this award as it’s a great validation of our technology and the hard work our team has put in over the past year. It also underlines our belief that we’ve got the best and most intuitive augmented reality platform available for bringing physical products and printed materials to life.”

On that note, it’s time to pop open the champagne!
